The 90th Macef exhibition closed its doors at Fieramilano after four days of intense negotiations. The 1,985 exhibitors spread over 105 thousand square meters received the visit of about 95 thousand operators (+5%) who expressed a high business satisfaction.The flow of foreign visitors grew a lot(+10%). Macef, the International Home Show, is dedicated to all the sectors and merchandise around the house.“A positive trend, despite the unfavourable economic climate - comments Marco Serioli, Executive Director of Rassegne, the company of Gruppo Fiera Milano that organizes Macef, the International Home Exhibition.The 90th Macef recalled the Italian industrial history (that has enriched the world with some of the design icons) and launched once again a significant range of formal novelties, boasting good technique and innovation. This year also featured the new La Fabbrica delle Idee: a creative workshop where italian and foreign designers presented their ideas. La Fabbrica delle Idee is a unique marketplace with the possibility to launch new designs for the future. Two large exhibitions were organised to celebrate the the beauty of daily life. The mains themes were related to its history and the values of design in the italian industrial history for the past 50 years(edited by Architect Marco Migliari). History of design, great ideas, intelligent and passionate people and - above all - wonferdul products that brought us to modernity.The exhibition stands, always astonishing, were successively mighty and original, particularly in the pavilion 5 where the industrial design was the protagonist undisputed. On the pre-furnished stands, the mistaken concept that function is a synonyme of plain is renewed.In a world where design has revolutionised the taste and beauty, that may be the turning point. A good product communication surely comes from the structure, the graphics and the color of the stands itself, to expose in the best ways.
