Tarek Elkassouf's Twisted Diamond Lamp

Tarek Elkassouf Designs The Twisted Diamond Lamp

Tarek Elkassouf, the designer of the highlighted project Lamp by Tarek Elkassouf points out, Twisted Diamond is part of The Edge – Beirut Revisited Collection, an evolution of The Edge – Beirut Collection, which takes a cue from the city of Beirut – a city always on the edge of instability, chaos, creativity and adaptability. The versatile geometric form allows for each individual lamp to be stacked, rotated, flipped or form part of a repeating pattern that is inspired by Middle Eastern architecture. The motif is a contemporary take on the moucharabiah lamp of the traditional Middle Eastern souk. It is made from perforated steal, is hand-welded and painted by artisans in Lebanon.
